Waiting List Registration

The METCO program is available to all children who reside in the City of Boston or Springfield.  To enroll your child (ren) in the METCO program, you must FIRST place him and/or her on our Waiting List.

To register for the Boston METCO waiting list, a parent or guardian must come to our office located at 40 Dimock St., Roxbury, MA  02119.  We accept registrations Mon. – Fri. between the hours of 9 A.M. – 7 P.M.  During school and summer vacation weeks, our office hours are limited, so please call first to ensure someone will be available to assist you.

After you complete the registration form, your child (ren) will be placed on the waiting list by date received.  Currently, it may take from three to four years for a new applicant to begin the referral process.   METCO is aware that changes may occur while on the waiting list, for this reason it is EXTREMELY important that your contact information is kept up to date with our office.  We highly recommend contacting our Data Department annually with any changes.

Once we reach your child (ren) on the waiting list,  you will be contacted to begin the referral process.  The districts request students to fill empty spaces in their schools.  Students referred to the districts have met the waiting list eligibility period and have completed the administrative paperwork requested by METCO, Inc.
