Transportation Manager

Lance Carter, a Rhode Island native, has dedicated his career to education and transportation management. He earned his B.A. with Honors in Sociology from Morehouse College in 1974 and later obtained an M.A. in Sociology from Northeastern University in 1978.

Over the course of more than four decades  with METCO, Lance has held various roles, including Transportation Assistant, Manager, Consultant, and, since 2006, Transportation Manager. He also contributed to the organization’s leadership as a member of the Board of Directors from 1986 to 2003. Additionally, he served as Transportation Manager for Lowell Public Schools in 2000.
