METCO ALUMNI: MENTOR A CURRENT METCO STUDENT!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay is teaming up
with METCO Headquarters to support today's students.
We need your help!

HOW?

Through this new program, you will have the opportunity to develop a friendship with a child between the ages of 7-12 who are currently enrolled in the METCO program. The two of you can bond over similar life experiences.

WHAT?

Get together with your match twice per month for a few hours at a time, and take part in low- to no-cost activities that interest both of you. Go for a hike, get ice cream, or hang out at your house and watch movies—whatever the two of you would enjoy. These relationships are more about being present together than planning extravagant outings.

WHY?

As an alum of the METCO program yourself, you know what these children are experiencing. They will benefit from the lessons you learned, the memories you cherish, and the understanding you'll provide. Hundreds of students would love a METCO alum Big Brother or Big Sister right now.

INTERESTED?

Great! Fill out your application and write "METCO" in the "How did you hear about Big Brothers Big Sisters" prompt. Mentors can be matched in as little as six weeks after completing an interview and required paperwork.
